Northbridge Family Office is a trusted partner for families across the North West

Jake Ankers

For almost a decade, Jake has managed the Family Office for a highly respected North West family.

During that time, he has overseen every aspect of their affairs: from finance, investment and life planning to estate management, private residential operations and philanthropy. He also sits on the boards of several portfolio companies spanning property technology, fashion, media and property development finance.

After graduating from the University of Hull in 2013, Jake began his career with Enterprise Mobility on its management training programme, progressing into a strategic role supporting corporate clients across the North West. An early entrepreneurial drive then led him to London to join an education technology start-up, gaining first-hand insight into the challenges faced by founders and investors alike.

In 2025, Jake founded Northbridge Family Office, a Multi-Family Office formed to challenge the status quo: providing a trusted, modern and affordable alternative to the traditional model. A firm that genuinely helps families by getting hands-on with the practical, financial and personal complexities of family life.

Jake is also a Trustee of Mahdlo Youth Zone and serves as Vice Chair of Trustees for the Cheshire Community Foundation. Jake lives in Cheshire with his wife and daughter.

Working with Jake is a joy! He has a full understanding of the client’s background and priorities, and access to all of the underlying data that we need in order to support the client from a tax perspective.

He works on a ‘real time’ basis as far as possible, to monitor income / gains for the client. Jake is proactive in his approach, works collaboratively with the client’s team of advisers, and his involvement effectively minimises the client’s required time input. He is commercial, mindful of managing costs for the client, and equally mindful of ensuring all reporting obligations are met – super organised!

How we work?

At Northbridge, we act as an extension of the families we serve. We listen carefully, understand deeply, and take responsibility for the details that others overlook.

We do the things families don’t want to, or don’t have time to do, so they can focus on what matters most to them. Whether managing a transaction, coordinating a household, or planning for future generations, our role is to bring order, calm and clarity to complex lives.

Every relationship begins with time: time to understand a family’s values, ambitions and pressures. From there, we build a tailored structure that supports every aspect of life: investments, property, estate management, staffing, philanthropy and beyond.

But not every family needs every service. Some ask us to manage a single property, oversee investments, or advise on philanthropic strategy, others entrust us with everything. Every family office is different, and our role is to adapt around each client’s priorities and rhythm of life.

We are hands-on by design. We don’t sit back and advise from a distance: we get involved, we make things happen, and we stay close. Our work is built on trust, discretion and genuine care for the families we represent.

Importantly, there are no hidden fees or commissions. Our model is simple, transparent and aligned, ensuring that families always know exactly what they’re paying for, and that our interests remain firmly alongside theirs.

Above all, we do the things families don’t want to, or don’t have time to do, so they can focus on what matters most to them. Whether managing a transaction, coordinating a household, or planning for future generations, our role is to bring order, calm and clarity to complex lives.
